Review of ‘A Mother’s Day Murder’

Posted on Updated on

Nothing ever happens in the little town of Mt. Abrams, or so the saying goes. Until, that is, something happens. Ellie Roca, recently divorced, like Mt. Abrams because not much happens, and her ex didn’t like it. Then, just before Mother’s Day, her neighbor, the reclusive Lacey Mitchell, disappears, and all hell breaks loose as Ellie and her nosy friends start snooping to find out what happened.

A Mother’s Day Murder by Dee Ernst is a humorous cozy mystery that takes a look at what goes on in small town America. The dialogue is witty, and the plot is well-woven. Despite a few unfortunate typos, I found this an entertaining read. It is an enjoyable confection of mystery, murder, and mirth that I give three and a half stars.
