Review of ‘The Black Guard’

Posted on Updated on

After a lifetime of war, humans and Horaxians are forced to make peace against an even greater threat. Adcox, a young marine, is tasked with finding the legendary Black Guard, a being that everyone fears and no one trusts, but who is the key to both races’ survival.

The Black Guard by Kas Smith is an eclectic blend of sci-fi space opera and near-fantasy in an epic adventure that fans of both genres will appreciate. Think of it as ‘The Empire attacks the Lord of the Rings.’

An entertaining read. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review. I give it four stars
