Review of ‘Insanity (Mad in Wonderland)’

Posted on Updated on

After accidentally killing all of her classmates, Alice Wonder was consigned to an insane asylum. Everyone knows that she’s a crazy as a loon, except for a hookah-smoking professor, Carter Pillar. Pillar believes that he can prove her sanity by decoding Lewis Carroll’s works and determining the whereabouts of the real Wonderland. What Alice discovers when she becomes involved with the batty professor causes even her to wonder about her sanity at first.

Insanity (Mad in Wonderland) by Cameron Jace is a fantasy that is . . . fantastic. The author plays with words and concepts, and turns Carroll’s classic work on its head. As Alice goes deeper into Pillar’s fantasy she doesn’t know what’s real and what’s fantasy, and you, the reader, will be pulled along into her deepening nightmare. The ending of this fantastic romp through the dark, twisting passages of the human mind will leave you absolutely breathless!

I really should be reviewing this book on Friday the Thirteenth, but I couldn’t wait to give it five stars.
