Cover Reveal – Buffalo Soldier: Range War

Posted on

The tenth book in my Buffalo Soldier series, Range War will launch soon. I’d like to share the cover I’ve chosen for this volume, which is the story of Ninth Cavalry Sergeant Ben Carter and his special detachment. They are caught in the middle of a dispute between cattlemen and sheep ranchers – with a gang of hired gunmen to complicate the mix.

There were a few other designs considered (see below), but I thought the stark, simplicity of the one above best illustrated the story.    Cover 5 final

Thanks. I thought so, too. But, I really liked the painting, so the decision wasn’t easily made.

The cover you’ve chosen is interesting but the title needs to stand out more. i especially like the third one with the people in it, light brown with the yellow lettering; that caught my eye best. but if you truly want to go with the buffalo horn, move the title into its own section or do something to the black that helps it stand out.
I am your friend on facebook https://www.facebook.com/authorjerriannwayahowl.law that’s wayahowl law; and i am partners with JD Couch. We have our own author’s page and yesterday i posted previews cover reveals of upcoming books of ours; there are several. We are authors of ten eBooks, I’ve made all the covers I went to invite you to our page and saw the invite has been sent. I hope you will accept it, and please take a look at our covers, which i hope will help you get an idea of how to improve your covers; I’ve gotten several of your books and the covers are interesting since they illustrate your own art; These covers of ours also illustrate art of mine; take a look at Jeopardy McNaill and the Chair of Release and Remembrance as an example. THANK YOU so Much. And good luck.
